he's concussed... thought emeraldi as he bit at the foot of another soldier... he raced over to the ball of shadow and used his head to flip him onto his back. he then ran for the cover in the forest. the soldiers followed, scanning the area, but emeraldi was too cleaver for them, and doubled back. he managed to find a small cave, that the humans couldn't enter because the entrance was to small. a small fern grew in the corner, and an eerie light came from the crystals in the ceiling. he fliped shade of his back and put him down. he gathered up some leaves and made a sort of nest for them... he snapped up the small mouse that ran past and stood guard by the entrance, reminising on the taste of human....

Shade rolled on the cave floor into the wall, purple gases floated from his immobile form.

Emeraldi reached when he remembered the taste of the humans.. he turned and looked and the ghastly as it rolled over.

Shade made a hissing noise, the gases flickered above his form.
What trickery is this...?

Emeraldi's head snaped round at the sound. oh not this distrust again... can't he see i saved him...

Shade tried moving but couldn't.
What foul spells have you cast? He hissed angrily.

Eh... Berries, I prefer the poisonious ones, there were nice purple ones earlier Shade said, obviously distrusting him.

I cannot remember, places, places, ones I refer to are purpleish Shade said.
Poisonious food is not poisonious to me... they are to you however.

Shade made a hissing noise at the current predicament.
Probably be better off with those soldiers then his beast anyway. Shade thought.

Emeraldi wandered from the cave in search off berrys... he snapped up a small bird and looked around. he was full, but it seemed that he was in charge of the well being of this creature, so he decided to move into the forest again...

Dureing this time, 9 had been island hopping, and had landed on draconia. he was stalking through the forest...

Shade hoped the... thing wore off soon. I hate having to rely on others. Shade thought.

Emeraldi found a small clearing with purple berrys in it, and judgeing by the corpse of a bird rotting under it with berry juice around it, they were poisonous. he gathered some up and started walking back to the cave...

Shade waited impatiently, hoping that he could move soon.

Emeraldi arrived at the cave and squeesed inside. he put the berries by Shade, so he could reach them, and crawled to the bed he had made for himself under the fern...

Shade ate one of the berries then the next and then ate the rest of them.
Tasty... He thought.

Emeraldi wass asleep. dreaming of small birds and mammels. mmmmm food he thought. he rolled over and woke up. he shook his head and went to Shade. how are you feeling? he asked...

Gragh hissed shade, he tried to move.

oh, that bad huh... still, you should be able to move again soon... emeraldi hissed and curled up again, yawning, tell me if you need something... he said.

Shade hissed something unintelligble before falling to sleep himself.

Dawn broke over a new day. Emeraldi slowly lifted his head up and stared with blearie eyes at Shade. has it worn off yet? he said. it should have done by now...

Shade was already floating.
It did a hour ago. He began.
Your dreams were... not very interesting.

what can I say. I like food, though that human tasted bad. we should probably leave here, and try to find out why we are being hunted... Replied Emeraldi.
